The band formed in late April 2004 after the demise of Burnside Bridge, Parr-5 and Farewell Society. After the Fight plays a brand of infectiously catchy, mid-nineties, So-Cal melodic snotty punk. Minus all the screaming a lot of the bands are bringing fourth lately.

With influences varying from Bad Religion, Samiam, A.F.I, and MxPx After the Fight have been ripping through the local scene with an unmatched fury and determination. On any given weekend ATF can be found playing at such Chicago area venues as The Abbey Pub, The Elbo Room, Hoghead McDunna’s, & the U.S. Beer Company.

The ATF live show is highly energetic, and often frantic. The audience participation is palpable. One need only look around the room to find many singing along to “Fool Me Twice”, or shouting out (fists pumping) “You’re dead to me!” (from “Shady Bitches”). The live setting is where After the Fight shines, and is always a fun experience for those in attendance!

The band’s debut album, “Basura Solamente” was recorded in Aug/Sept of ’04. The debut has been released on Chicago’s very own Bone Records. The CD features 13 tracks of furious dual vocals and melodic punk rock.

As 2006 begins, After the Fight has positioned themselves for an ascent to the top of Chicagoland’s crowded music scene. Whether they’re playing at the prestigious Abbey Pub, or slumming it at the infamous Mutiny, After the Fight will continue to bring it’s style of infectious punk/rock to those that are willing to listen…and have a good time of course!
